Roma

Circo Massimo in Rome. Wide open space where a vast stadium like structure once stood.

Catacomb mass

We went into the catacombs at St Sulpice and came upon a private
religious ceremony in Rumanian. Chanting, candle lit,
priest in a gold robe and darkness. All very mysterious and mystical.

Paris metro

Thing about the metro is people sit close together. And those existential handles to
let yourself off the train, the sound and the hand movement...Paul Belmondo style.
You'd think people would be more social on the metro but its like anywhere else.
"You're just a picture in my world...you know the place where I am the center.
You don't expect me to talk do you? Just enjoy the sights." I really do.

raft of the Medusa

I always sketch this painting each time I visit the Louvre.
This is the freeest and yet most precise sketch to date. And fast to appear
from my moving hand. Sometimes that hand moves on its own volition
without my advice...gladly I notice it has its own intellgence.

Viewing Mona

Its no secret how so many people line up to photograph Mona Lisa.
She's getting quite a big head but all signs lead us to believe she will be ok
for yet another technological change in recording devices.
Perhaps 3-d picture taking is just around the corner. I bet she won't mind that either.
