Very interesting talk tonight given by Ms. Kraus about the Op Ed NY Times artwork over the years and her book about her experiences as art director there. Great illustrations and anecdotes as well.
What I needed to pick up was not ready. Two hours to kill. OK its cold and very windy downtown so I duck into a sushi bar and have lunch. Read and knock out these 3 drawings before I go and pick up my prints.

The air is crisp and clear. The sun is strong. Its around 5PM. There are few joggers. There's an interviewing videographer who gets 2 agreeable subjects. An older Chinese woman is taking her constitution up and back the length of the promenade. And there are small groups of visitors who stand for a brief view of the NYC skyline and then seek warmer spaces.The sun broods screaming bright in the crisp winter sky.
We were visited by Rudy Gutierrez and his wife DK Dyson. They filled the room with spirit and art and song about keeping to one's path. Having no boundaries. Being free. It was a special night and will stay with all of us.
with a woman patron at the bakery who was talking to herself. She seemed very involved in an important conversation (sans self phone), had her cafe and picked up and left when too many others entered the room.
