I took the Q train out to Brighton Beach in Brooklyn and walked theRussian boardwalk past restaurants filled with ocean viewing diners and
between 2 of these hot spots were these rows of benches filled with
animated talking people. Brighton Beach is full of Russian food shops and sadly
the famous Knish joint is gone and replaced by some place but who remembers.

Melanie, you're good...I was thinking of painting when I sketched this. thanks. It was great to get out of NYC...so needed just to hear wind feel sun and see water and these people.
